Our Attorneys

Arnold A. Arpino is the founding attorney of Arnold A. Arpino & Associates P.C. He represents individuals and businesses in a broad range of practice areas including creditor's rights and collections, healthcare law, elder law and estate planning, civil litigation, and real estate matters.

Mr. Arpino received his J.D. from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 1983, after completing his first year of law school at the University of Dayton — where he earned a Moot Court Award in a first-year competition. He received his B.A. from Queens College in 1980.

He began his legal career at the firm of Batzar & Weinberg, where he focused on creditor's rights and collections. When the partners retired, Mr. Arpino joined — and later became a partner in — the firm of Smith, Carroad, Levy, Arpino & Finkel in Commack, New York, where he gained extensive experience litigating medical debt collection and commercial claims.

In 2000, Mr. Arpino left to establish his own solo practice. He takes pride in having built and sustained a successful practice in the greater Smithtown area for over 20 years.

Outside the office, Mr. Arpino enjoys cooking, gardening, and attending sporting events. His favorite cuisine is Italian, and during the summer months he tends a garden of tomatoes, oregano, basil, peppers, and cucumbers. He is a passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox, the New York Jets, and the New York Islanders.

Samantha Kantor is an attorney at the firm and a former public defender. Her experience on the defense side of the criminal justice system gives her a deep understanding of how to challenge the government's case and protect her clients' rights.

Ms. Kantor focuses on criminal defense and traffic offenses, representing clients in courts throughout New York State with a thorough, client-centered approach.
