About David Arpino

David Arpino is an attorney at the firm and a former public defender. His background as a public defender gives him firsthand insight into how the prosecution builds its cases — knowledge he puts to work for every client he defends. Over the course of his career, David has handled approximately 2,000 criminal cases.

David focuses on major felony offenses, misdemeanors, and traffic violations throughout New York State. He has appeared in courts across Long Island, New York City, and upstate New York on behalf of clients facing a wide range of charges.

His experience on both sides of the courtroom — as a public defender and now as a private defense attorney — gives him a strategic edge when building a defense and negotiating with prosecutors. He handles most traffic matters without requiring the client's appearance in court.
